Why do some Christians, like the FES, treat the Bible as a science book?

The Flat Earth Society (FES) is a group that believes that the Earth is an unmoving flat circular disc that is situated on pillars, has corners and ends, and they seem to believe that NASA is a big conspiracy, because the photos of Earth taken from space doesn't support their belief of a flat Earth, and they claim that their belief is true because it is written in the Bible...

I'm a Catholic, but I don't take the Bible completely literally like the FES does, I'm not saying that the Bible shouldn't be believed, but it should be taken both literally and metaphorically, and the Bible shouldn't be treated as a science book, anyway, these are the Biblical verses that the FES believes supports their belief of a flat Earth:

Isaiah 40:22: It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain, and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Isaiah 11:12: And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth.

Revelation 7:1: And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds of the earth, that the wind should not blow on the earth, nor on the sea, nor on any tree.

Job 38:13: That it might take hold of the ends of the earth, that the wicked might be shaken out of it?

Jeremiah 16:19: O LORD, my strength, and my fortress, and my refuge in the day of affliction, the Gentiles shall come unto thee from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Surely our fathers have inherited lies, vanity, and things wherein there is no profit.

Daniel 4:11: The tree grew, and was strong, and the height thereof reached unto heaven, and the sight thereof to the end of all the earth:

Psalm 93:1: The LORD reigneth, he is clothed with majesty; the LORD is clothed with strength, wherewith he hath girded himself: the world also is stablished, that it cannot be moved.

Psalm 96:10: Say among the heathen that the LORD reigneth: the world also shall be established that it shall not be moved: he shall judge the people righteously.

Psalm 104:5: Who laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be removed for ever.

Job 9:6: Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.

Job 38:4: Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding.

Job 37:3: He directeth it under the whole heaven, and his lightning unto the ends of the earth.

Job 28:24: For he looketh to the ends of the earth, and seeth under the whole heaven;

1 Samuel 2:8: He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the pillars of the earth are the LORD's, and he hath set the world upon them. Why do some Christians, like the FES, treat the Bible as a science book?
Please understand that Hebrew was an underdeveloped language to express things like circle or sphere.

If you go through an interlinear Bible we can make out that there was no way of differentiating between 100 and 200 OR 1000 and 2000.

It was a primitive language. We cannot take things literally.

FES people have nothing better to do! They are making clowns out of themselves!

.Why do some Christians, like the FES, treat the Bible as a science book?
Because it takes so much less effort to learn "Goddidit", than to learn all of that complicated math', chemistry, physics, cosmology, biology, geology, etc, etc, etc.Why do some Christians, like the FES, treat the Bible as a science book?
bible is not true, QURAN us only science book in the world, many scientific miracles
As far as I know, the "FES" is a tiny group who don't represent anyone else.

I don't believe the things that they believe either, but one thing I can guarantee:~

Your organization has a larger collection of fables and whoppers than the FES.
