I am working on starting the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.
Please no pointless teen books, they are good on occasion but I would like something w/ substance. Thanks!Books to read? Thank you?
Diana Galbaldon is a favorite, very addictive author of mine. The only thing you might want to skip over is that she has some very very explicit sex in Outlander, some of which is extremely disturbing. However, the characters (particularly Jamie) are some of my favorite fiction friends.
You sound like you are just ripe for my new epic historical romance--The Last Waltz: A Novel of Love and War, which tells the story of Amalia Faulhaber during the last days of the Austrian Empire, through WW I and then through the tension-filled interwar years. She begins as a society flirt and ends as a woman of great substance who knows the real cost and the real meaning of love as a result of her romances with three very different men. It is packed with history, suspense, and romance. Read my website at http://last-waltz.com, and you can sample some chapters on http://ggvandagriff.com/books.
This is a novel that will stay with you always.

If you like horror stories like Steven King's, I would read 'Darkness tells us' by Richard Laymon. Its kind of creepy but in a way that keeps you hooked.
If you liked the Marple Agatha Christie books, I would deffy go for 'Death of A Perfect Wife' by M.C. Beaton. Tis quaint and really good. :D
Also, if you are in the mood for a romance novel that is in good taste- read 'A long fatal love chase' by Louisa May Alcott. It is one of my favourite books.Books to read? Thank you?
A Seperate Peace is awesome, but it's the symbolic kind and it might be boring if you don't like symbolism.
Milderd Taylor books are awesome.
You like a combination of great and awful books. Read the works of Jules Verne.Books to read? Thank you?
