With Fire and Sword by Henryk Sienkiewicz, translated by Kuniczak. Same length as Pillars, but set in the Ukraine in the 1600s. War, love story, adventure, comedic elements - it's got it all. My favorite book of all time, with Pillars of the Earth being my #2.What should I read next?
