I've read many books, many of which I consider to be a favourite. So I'll just list a few (to keep it short):
Blood Work by Michael Connelly
The Shining by Stephen King
1984 by George Orwell
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie
:)
A Thousand splendid suns by khaled hosseini. My most favorite line ever comes from this book.
"With the passing of time, she would slowly tire of this exercise. She would find it increasingly exhausting to conjure up, to dust off, to resuscitate once again what was long dead. There would come a day, in fact, years later, when [she] would no longer bewail his loss. Or not as relentlessly; not nearly. There would come a day when the details of his face would begin to slip from memory's grip, when overhearing a mother on the street call after her child by [his] name would no longer cut her adrift. She would not miss him as she did now, when the ache of his absence was her unremitting companion--like the phantom pain of an amputee."Whats your favourite book?
I love the Twilight Series since Stephanie combines suspence, fantasy and romance together.
I also like Marley and Me By: John Grogan, its a really good book too. It reminds me of my black lab who was similar to Marley.
Evermore by: Alyson Noel, another good one. (fantasy, romance, suspence, also)
I have alot of favorites. lol
I have so many favourites! They range from "To Kill a Mockingbird", "Jane Eyre", "Interview with the Vampire" (Anne Rice), "Great Expectations" - Dickens, and of course...... HARRY POTTER!
I love all those books about humanity and the power of being "human."
I'm going to try "Pillars of the Earth" next...Whats your favourite book?
If you want an inspiring one, you should try "Scratch Beginnings". It tells a story of a man who started with just an intriguing $25, a bag and clothes and ends up having $5000, an apartment and a car!
It is written by Adam Shepard
Ooh, that's a good one. I definitely can't pick just one favorite, but some of them are:
The Neverending Story by Michael Ende
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
The Wind in the Willows by Kenneth Grahame
I Capture the Castle by Dodie Smith
Fierce Invalids Home From Hot Climates by Tom Robbins
My reference books. I'm a programmer, and there's no way to remember everything about every programming language, which is why I have about a dozen reference books on my desk.
That's a tough one. I've got a bunch, but at the moment, my three favourite are:
Harry Potter by JK Rowling
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
Graceling by Kristin Cashore
I can not pick just one, but I do love the Sookie Stackhouse books by Charlaine Harris, and the Mercy Thompson series by Patricia Briggs is another on my must read list.
Right now, it's a tie between The Hunger Games series, Graceling, and The Mortal Instruments series.
Glass Houses by Rachel Caine.
Queen of the Damned by Anne Rice
Eldest by Christopher Paolini
