Leviticus 11:6 "And the hare, because he cheweth the cud...."
Hares and rabbits are not ruminants they are lagomorphs and do not chew the cud.
Leviticus 11:13-19 "These are they which ye shall have in abomination among the fowls; they shall not be eaten , . . . the eagle, and . . . the bat."
The bat is not a fowl. It’s a mammal.
Leviticus 11:20 "All fowls that creep, going upon all four, shall be an abomination unto you."
A 4-legged fowl? What kind would that be?
13. Leviticus 11:22-23 "These ye may eat; the locust...and the beetle...and the grasshopper. But all other flying creeping things, which have four feet, shall be an abomination unto you."
I don't know of any instance of a 4-legged insect, do you?
17. 1st Samuel 2:8 "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them." and 1 Chronicles 16:30 "He fixed the earth firm and immovable." Psalm 93:1 "The world also is established, that it cannot be moved."
The earth does not rest on pillars or a foundation, but this was a popular belief of ancient middle eastern religions. And the earth does, in fact, move (rotate and orbit).
22 Matthew 13:31-32 "Jesus said, The kingdom of heaven is like a mustard seed, the smallest of all seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest of shrubs and becomes a tree."
The mustard seed is not the smallest of all seeds (orchid seed are smaller, among others). Shrubs do not grow into trees
27. James 5:3 "Your gold and silver are cankered, and the rust on them shall be witness against you . . ."
Gold and silver do not rust.
Genesis 6:5-6 "And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually. And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart."
How could God be disappointed/grieved/sad that man had turned out badly if he knows everything and, thus, knew they would turn out "evil?" This implies that God didn't know what the outcome was going to be and that he made a mistake.
I Cor 14:33 says God is not the author of confusion, but Genesis 11:9 says he confused the languages at the tower of Babel.
Jeremiah 7:21-22 "Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Put your burnt offerings unto your sacrifices, and eat flesh. For I spake not unto your fathers, nor commanded them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices."
Hello? What does Gen 15:9, Exodus 20:24, 29:10-42, Lev. 1:1-7...(I could go on and on) mean when the Lord commanded burnt sacrifices?
Genesis 18:20-21 "And the LORD said, Because the cry of Sodom and Gomorrah is great, and because their sin is very grievous; I will go down now, and see whether they have done altogether according to the cry of it, which is come unto me; and if not, I will know."
God isn't everywhere? God doesn't know everything? He hears something and then has to go check it out because he doesn't know if it is true or not?
Ex. 9:3-6 God destroys all the cattle and horses of the Egyptians, yet in Ex. 9:9-11 the people and cattle have boils and in Ex 12:12, 29 the first born of all cattle die and then in Ex.14:9 the Hebrew people are pursued by the Egyptians on horses. Hmmmm.
2 Samuel 6:23 "Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no child unto the day of her death." But wait! 2 Samuel 21:8 says "But the king took the two sons of Rizpah the daughter of Aiah, whom she bare unto Saul, Armoni and Mephibosheth; and the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she brought up for Adriel the son of Barzillai the Meholathite:" Did she have kids or not??
And then there are numerous differences in measures, counts, etc: I Kings 4 said Solomon had 40,000 horses, while 2 Chron. says he had 4,000. I Kings says the pillars are 18 cubits high while 2 Chron. 3 says they were 35 cubits high.
Matthew lists 28 generations from David to Jesus, Luke lists 43
Mark 10:40 Jesus says "But to sit on my right hand and on my left hand is not mine to give; but it shall be given to them for whom it is prepared." Yet in Matthew 28:18 it says "And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth."
I could go on and on but Chas_cha defied me to find any errors in the Bible. No doubt some of these will be "metaphors," or "transcribing errors," or "taken out of context." Whatever. There ARE errors. Open your eyes. How do you explain these things in the bible that just don't add up?
I CAME ... because of "your" sin
"As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: " Romans 3:10
"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" Romans 3:23
"This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners;" I Timothy 1:15a
I DIED ... to pay for "your" sin
"But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed." Isaiah 53:5
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him." Romans 5:8 %26amp; 9
"In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins:" Colossians 1:14
I AROSE ... to keep "you" saved eternally
"Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them." Hebrews 7:25
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me: And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." John 10:27 %26amp; 28
"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." I John 5:11
YOU MUST REPENT ... admitting you are guilty, that you cannot do "anything" to save or help save yourself, and that you need Jesus Christ
"I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish." Luke 13:3
"Let the wicked forsake his way. and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the Lord, and he will have mercy upon him; and to our God. for he will abundantly pardon. For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord." Isaiah 55:7 %26amp; 8
"Not by works of righteousness which we have done. but according to his mercy he saved us," Titus 3:5a
"But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness." Romans 4:5
YOU MUST TRUST ... putting your "complete" faith in Jesus Christ to save you
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." John 3:16
"He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform." Romans 4:20 %26amp; 21
"To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus." Romans 3:26
"Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law." Romans 3:28
WHAT IS YOUR DECISION?
I CHOOSE TO TRUST JESUS AS MY SAVIOUR
"He that believeth on him is not condemned:" John 3: 18a
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." Romans 10:10
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
I CHOOSE TO REJECT JESUS AND KEEP MY WAY
"... but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." John 3 :18b
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:15

scroll down a little bit--How do you explain these things in the bible that just don't add up?
if you are going to google supposed bible contradictions, then just google the answer to these verses. This isn't some new revolutionary list that you just discovered. Your answers are out there.
Fiction! How do you explain these things in the bible that just don't add up?
because it's mostly made up!
rabbits and hares do eat their poo's
Well... I don't believe in the idea of god.
God is just a concept so, yeah...
you throw down the bible and you kick it
The Bible is a compendium of knowledge, ignorance, history, legends, morality, and immorality, written by humans between 3500 and 2000 years ago. Part of the reason it has survived for so long is that "since much of its content is self-contradictory it can be used to justify more or less any action or moral stance."*

I copied yours and wanted to add mine
*God Punishes the Descendents of Incest*
No child of an incestuous union may be admitted into the community of the Lord, nor any descendent of his even to the tenth generation. (Deuteronomy 23:3 NAB)
*God Approves of Incest*
"Afterward Lot left Zoar because he was afraid of the people there, and he went to live in a cave in the mountains with his two daughters. One day the older daughter said to her sister, "There isn't a man anywhere in this entire area for us to marry. And our father will soon be too old to have children. Come, let's get him drunk with wine, and then we will sleep with him. That way we will preserve our family line through our father." So that night they got him drunk, and the older daughter went in and slept with her father. He was unaware of her lying down or getting up again. The next morning the older daughter said to her younger sister, "I slept with our father last night. Let's get him drunk with wine again tonight, and you go in and sleep with him. That way our family line will be preserved." So that night they got him drunk again, and the younger daughter went in and slept with him. As before, he was unaware of her lying down or getting up again."
"So both of Lot's daughters became pregnant by their father. When the older daughter gave birth to a son, she named him Moab. He became the ancestor of the nation now known as the Moabites. When the younger daughter gave birth to a son, she named him Ben-ammi. He became the ancestor of the nation now known as the Ammonites." (Genesis 19:30-38 NLT)
*Contradictions from the bible*
"For I am merciful, saith the Lord, and I will not keep anger forever." (Jeremiah 3:12)
"Ye have kindled a fire in mine anger, which shall burn forever." (Jeremiah 17:4)
"If I testify about myself, my testimony is not valid." (John 5:31)
"Jesus answered: Even if I testify on my own behalf, my testimony is valid." (John 8:14)
"And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth." (Matthew 28:18)
"the whole world is under control of the evil one." (1 John 5:19)
And Jesus said, "For judgment I am come into this world." (John 9:39)
"I came not to judge the world" (John 12:47)
"Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 5:16)
"Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven." (Matthew 6:1)
"Jacob said, 'I have seen God face to face, and my life is preserved.'" (Genesis 32:30)
"No man hath seen God at any time." (John 1:18)
We should fear God (Matthew 10:28)
We should love God (Matthew 22:37)
There is no fear in love (1 John 4:18)
Honey, this is why you should resign yourself to a good "BIBLE BASED" church, program or setting....Even if some good samaritan biblical scholar were to bring clarity to some of these questions for you, your lack of faith will still hold you bounded in your spirit...The Holy Spirit have to work on your heart in order for you to be receptive and hear the WORD of God because we simply cannot do the changing for you....This is all left up to you%26gt;)....OH hear the word of God on this fact!......
What you're looking at is something written to communicate in another time, culture %26amp; language. Quite a lot has been lost in translation of language, no attempt at all has been made to help you understand how people thought in bygone ages, nor can the western mind readily understand eastern ways of thinking %26amp; expression. So for example, the difference between 40,000 horses %26amp; 4000 may just be an error of notation - one of them's got to be wrong, or it may be a total irrelevance - try standing in a field with 4000 horses, then stand in one with 40,000 %26amp; you probably won't be aware of any difference, it will be to many to count. Or it may even mean Solomon had 4000 horses to hand %26amp; could call on another 40000 in the event of need. The error idea could suit the modern western mind, the stand among them idea could suit the ancient mind %26amp; the two meanings idea could suit the oriental mind. Which is it going to be? In any case, is it important? What is more important is to discover what was meant to be communicated to the audience of the time. So rather than disputing the detail, look for the overview. Is the purpose to be an accurate scientific account. or is it meant to convey something more of a word-picture? Could it be that you are looking at an allegorical account, or allegorical expression set in the context of a factual account?
These things were never written to communicate verifiable statistically accurate detail to a modern western mind. If you try to read ancient writings in that way, you'll never understand them. Just relax %26amp; let the artist paint a picture in your mind %26amp; get an overview, then imagine the detail just as you would if you're looking at a painting by one of the French Impressionists. Remember this is a word-picture in impressionist style so don't expect or demand the same level of detail from your impression that you would from a modern digital photograph.
When you get the idea, ancient writings %26amp; those from other cultures can become a delight %26amp; not a matter of dispute. I for one would not look at Monet's painting of a bridge over water to get accurate detail of joinery. The Bible was not written to convey what you're looking for. The real question you need to ask yourself as you read it is "What was it intended to communicate to it's original hearers?" Then take it from there.
My Dear Connie,
Congratulations on the hard work you have done in assembling such long list. It would be pointless of me attempting to answer them one by one. It would take a book, and a not very short one either. What I will do is mention a few of the last ones on your long list:
(1) Mark 10: 40 and Matthew 28: 18-the first was before the Resurrection, and the second after it. Jesus, having overcome Death, was given enormpus power by the Father.
(2) Michal's children: it does not say that she had no children, but that she would have no more children from then on-as a result of the insults she threw at King David-2 Samuel, Chapter 6.
(3) God not the Author of confusion, and yet He confused the langusages at the Tower of Babel: it was Man was the cause of the confusion of languages at Babel-because they had directly challenged God's authority, by seeking to make themselves a 'famous Name.'

It always amazes me how people want to pull little bits out of the bible and ridicule it.
There are no mistakes!
It was written with purpose and reason and its true knowlegde will be held from the sight of those who do not believe and wish to ridicule.
Those that come to the word of God with childlike innocence and understanding can see what those who 'think they know it all' cannot!
Luke 10:21
In that hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit, and said, I thank thee, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them unto babes: even so, Father; for so it seemed good in thy sight.
just for your reference all must be confirmed by two witnesses
2 Corinthians 13:1
Matthew 18:16
when judgement day comes i hope you will have the word of God understood to keep you out of the lake of fire.
Most of the "errors" of the first half of the list are just classification differences. As for the mustard seed, He was making a point; so what about the orchid. As for God knowing the future of man and being sad, I know that the future of all children is death, when death arrives it would still make me sad. Some of the others are legit, most are nit-picky, but I think it's great you are doing the investigation.
Hares and rabbits chew their poo, the first time it's not totally digested. So it is a form of cud.
Science grouped bats with mammals until the 19th century.
You are going literally nuts. We still use terms like sun rise and sun set the four comers of the Earth.
Really clever apologists can make up stories to explain away all of these apparent contradictions; much the way that apologists of a different flavour can explain away the nonsense in the Koran, the Bhagavad Ghita, or the Zend Avesta.
There is even a passage in Plato's Ion where a clever chappy explains away the 'errors' in the Iiad (which was also a Scritpture at one stage in its history).
The question to ask yourself is why God talks nonsense that needs to be explained away, when (presumably) it would be just as easy for him to talk sense if He chose to.
(Being all-knowing, Jesus could even have put some stuff about antiseptics, or even black holes, in the New Testament - if He had wanted to).
Personally, I think God just prefers dopey people who don't think too much about stuff. He probably finds them easier to impress.
you dont seriously take everything in the Bible literally do you? alot of it has figurative meanings, so how about you open your eyes
to articfang, normal people are usually smart enough to tell the difference between a figuartive meaning an a literal one so your argument is retarded, and if the Bible is just a fairy tale, its a damn good one, an fyi fairy tales dont usually predict futrue events and get them right like the Bible has many times, so change your name to articfag cause thats what you are
good enough for me, the bible is full of mistakes and holes.
Too Kyle, well then, how would you know what to take serious and what not to, can you really take the virgin birth serious???? vs a rabbit chewing cud????
I agree, Open your eyes that the bible is a fairy tale, a work of fiction nothing more.
