I am a huge fan of The Kite Runner, also as far as classics: A Tree Grows in Brooklyn , The Grapes of Wrath, East of Eden, Of Mice and Men (Steinbeck is a great storyteller). I really enjoy memoirs also like The Glass Castle, Marley and Me, Driving with Dead People, Shattered Dreams.
I'd recommend To Kill a Mockingbird - Harper Lee, if you're into that kind of thing. :)Amazing books to read?
Nothing in This Book Is True, But It's Exactly How Things Are by Bob Frissell
i suggest:
Sold
Speak
Warriors Don't Cry (if you're interested in civil rights)
[they're short, easy read books that i've read in my spare time recently]
I loved the Twilight series, before it became America's obsession.
I've heard the books Crank and 13 Reasons Why are good.Amazing books to read?
The Kite Runner is awesome. And so is The Book Thief,
all queit on the western front
Im not a big book reader but ive just read 'The Book Thief' by markus zusak. It won some kind of awards etc.
Should read some reviews on it, its a really good book, and i did become abit emotional as it seems everyone else does thats reads it :O)
My favorite author is Scott Westerfeld.
My favorite book series he wrights is Uglies. It is my my favorite series of all time. The first book is Uglies, Pretties, Specials, and he just came out with a new book in that series called Extras.
As already suggested, To Kill a Mockingbird =)
And definitely The Catcher in the Rye, this book changed my life!
1984- George Orwell, it's the best book I've read
Catch 22-Joesph Heller, an anti war novel which is hilarious-one of the funniest books I've read.
A clockwork Orange-Anthon Burgess, a bit tough to read but a fascinating book where the author creates a new type of slang from many different languages such as Russian.
Shataram -Gregory David Roberts, a gripping novel about an aussie con who goes to live in Mumbai. The story of this guy's life there is amazing
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas-Hunter s Thompson, a funny novel that endeavours to travel into the heart of the American dream or at least that's what the author says. Really, the characters just go on the bender to end all benders and it's pretty funny
The diceman-Luke Ryanhart, a strange book but again very funny
Finally, if you liked gangster maybe you should read "the godfather" by mario puzo-if you've seen the movies it may not be quite as good
Labyrinth by Kate Mosse

I love Meg Cabot (Heather Wells [upcoming movie]%26amp; Queen of Babble [upcoming movie], and tons of others), Sophie Kinsella's (Shopaholic [soon to be movie] %26amp; Remember Me), Jennifer Weiner (Good in Bed %26amp; Certain Girls), Jane Green (Mr. Maybe) and Emily Giffin (Something Borrowed %26amp; Something Blue) books. They are all great authors!
For a young adult/teen Meg Cabot's young adult books. She is the best author. Also best selling. She wrote tons of books including the Princess Diaries (Movies based on her books), Mediator (upcoming movie), 1-800-Missing (TV show based on her books), All-American Girl (up coming movie), Jinx, Airhead and more.
