I am a teen and love to read books that take place in the mid evil ages. Can anyone recommend some books?

I want recommendations that are fiction, NOT nonfiction. I can read very involved books that are written beyond my years so don't worry about about that subject. An example of a book that I have read is the Pillars of the Earth. It isn't based in the mid evil ages but it was still based around the same crucial time. Hopefully someone can recommend a great book that I will devour. Thankyou!I am a teen and love to read books that take place in the mid evil ages. Can anyone recommend some books?
I am almost done reading Pillars too, and really like it. You might like the classic Sir Walter's Scott's Ivanhoe or some of the following Arthurian and other medieval fiction that I have enjoyed.

Katherine Kurtz's Deryni novels, I'd start with The Legends of Camber of Culdi Trilogy (Camber of Culdi, Saint Camber, Camber the Heretic) then read The Chronicles of the Deryni Trilogy (Deryni Rising, Deryni Checkmate, High Deryni) and then go from there.

This is Medieval fantasy with Magic, Church corruption, Kings and battles and good characterizations.

Bernard Cornwell has several Medieval novels based on England from about the 6th Century on.

The Saxon Stories, The Warlord Chronicles and The Grail Quest series were all good.

Judith Tarr has a some books of Historical Fantasy books covering the Norman Conquest of Britain:

Rite of Conquest, King's Blood. As well as an Arthurian Fantasy, Kingdom of the Grail that is told from an old Monk's perspective.

Arthurian Fantasy/Historical Fiction:

Gillian Bradshaw-

Hawk of May, Kingdom of Summer and In Winter's Shadow, are in her Down the Long Wind Trilogy. Told from the perspective of Gwalchmai (Gawain) half brother to Mordred. More of a Young Adult series.

Another is Island of Ghosts and is written with a Roman influenced perspective.

Jack Whyte The Camulod Chronicles, an alternate take on the Arthurian tale. Loved it!

The Skystone, The Singing Sword, The Eagles' Brood, The Saxon Shore, The Fort at River's Bend,

The Sorcerer Part: Metamorphosis , The Lance Thrower, and The Eagle

Stephen Lawhead's Pendragon Cycle: Another very good series with more of a Welsh/celtic flavor.

Taliesin, Merlin, Arthur, Pendragon, Grail, and Avalon. He also has the Celtic Crusades series and his version of Robin Hood series.

Mary Stewart's Merlin Trilogy- Read it when I was a teen and loved it.

The Crystal Cave

The Hollow Hills

The Last Enchantment

Most of these books fall in the early middle ages from the 5th century onward, a few are later but all I thought very good and worth recommending.I am a teen and love to read books that take place in the mid evil ages. Can anyone recommend some books?
It's not *exactly* Medieval Ages, but it's pretty close. I think you'd really enjoy Tamora Pierce's books, namely her Song of the Lioness series. There are a few series that chronologically come after that one. They're really good.I am a teen and love to read books that take place in the mid evil ages. Can anyone recommend some books?
Aha! you are looking for Timeline by Michael Crichton, I also do not enjoy nonfiction..and this book is very enjoyable and gripping.. yes it is medieval:)
