Is 14 to young to read the book, "the Pillars of the Earth?"?

Because so far i have enjoyed the book, but i have come across a couple of weird parts in it, would you think it would be appropriate for me to read?

This is one of my all time favourite books - it's such a great epic story. They are a few sexual scenes %26amp; a rape scene, but these happen quite early on so you may have read them already! Other than that I think you'll be fine.



If you enjoy the book, the follow up is called The World Without End, but that has a lot more sexual scenes, so might be best to wait until you are a bit older to read that.
