I have been watching it because I watched it this summer on the Movie Network and really loved it and wanted to rewatch. The only problem is, I've noticed that CBC is airing the episodes wrong. I don't know how else to put it. Let me explain through example: I was watching what was supposed to be episode five but the content was the last half of episode four and the first half of episode five. Why did they restructure all the episodes? It ruins the content and plotline. It may be a timing issue but I cannot see how pushing the show into the next episode like that can help with timing at all. Anyone know the reason or noticed this as well??
A note to all you watching on CBC currently, watch it somewhere else like online because right now you are not getting the full experience of the show as it was meant to be.Why is CBC airing Pillars of the Earth wrong?
I can't watch online as I have dial-up. CBC will never tell you why they make the decisions they do.
Actually the book is MILES better than the show, which I am watching but am not too enthusiastic. Maybe if I hadn't read the book first. Btw, if you are interested, Ken Follett wrote another, set about 200 years later, called "World without End" and it is great too.
