What do you think of Pillars of the Earth?

i know oprah said it was awesome and all but i cant really trust her opinion with what books she picked out and likedWhat do you think of Pillars of the Earth?
It is a terrific book...I'm an avid reader and it is the best book I've ever read. It has a bit of everything...bits of history woven in, great relationships between characters, good description of these really neat places in England, sex, violence, intrigue, characters you like (and some you hate!), action, events that change the course of the novel, and great writing. You learn things along the way because he does a lot research so he insets historical information into the storyline without compromising the entertainment value at all. It is one of those books you can't put down because you just want to see what happens next...

He just wrote World Without End, which is the sequel to Pillars of the Earth. I liked that almost as much.What do you think of Pillars of the Earth?
I read it...a while ago, if its the same one. The Ken Follet book? Of course...LOL...that was before Oprah gave it the nod :)

It was very interesting, very believable. I'd recommend it.
