Catholic view on watching tv shows (borgias, camelot etc.) explicit behavior?

i wan't to know the catholic views on watching shows like the borgias, camelot, pillars of the earth, camelot

there's the historical or folklore side to it which is interesting but when they show witchcraft, explicit sex scenes, group sex scenes and so on it just feels wrong to watch it even though that's how it was back then

i wan't to know your views on this

thank youCatholic view on watching tv shows (borgias, camelot etc.) explicit behavior?
Only a simpleton would look to some sensationalized show on cable for education. I guess those are the same people that believe all Catholic Priests are evil just because they hear that drivel on CNN.

Watching shows with nudity or cursing or violence is not sinful in as much as you don't get inspired to sin by them. If it is only entertainment and it is not disturbing you in some way - it is OK. It might not be recommended though depending upon the show.

Also, Lady Gaga is about as Catholic as Bin Laden was an American.
A mature attitude toward sex and art is all one needs to licitly view anything that is not pornography. I don't recognize any of the shows you reference unless you mean the Camelot King Arthur story which is pretty benign even if gratuitous sex is injected. The Borgias are Catholic history so...

There is nothing profane about watching shows on Disney witch(haha) have references to witchcraft and greek gods. Catholics do not treat the devil as some demigod of evil as some other Christians seem to. We respect the danger and power of sin, but watching the Exorcist does not risk your immortal soul. ...again if you are sufficient mature in attitude toward sexuality and the tenets of the faith.Catholic view on watching tv shows (borgias, camelot etc.) explicit behavior?
it's just too graphic.

watch another movie that is more decent like

The Robe (1953) or Ben Hur (1959).
First, my opinion is those shows are just lame. Religiously, you shouldn't be watching that because of the sex scenes. I mean, come on, really?Catholic view on watching tv shows (borgias, camelot etc.) explicit behavior?
Methodist....i love borgias and tudors great drama...it is educational too
You can watch if you want as long as you don't take it to seriously
Lady Gaga is a Roman Catholic. She would be fine with that stuff.
TV ...Movies ...Media ...Actors ...hollywood in general...they put out such garbage that has

de sensitized us to all of the things we today have available at our fingertips......Non of us has done anything to stop any of it....Some one said Lady gagga is a Catholic ?......hardly .... Our Moral society is in the tank....Sexy advertising ...all that stuff.... All I can offer is what I try to do and that is to avoid it....Watch shows that are entertaining, not raunchy ..or over doing it like reality TV..... It's almost Impossible for you to turn in any direction without this attack on morality forced on us...

Change the Channel when you suspect stuff that Pushes the envelope of decency... go back to it on the parts that genuinely entertain you without cutting into your moral fiber........

It's hard , Many of us get intrigued on the stuff we would never do... the stuff on the other-side of Morality....especially when it comes to explicit sex......It's wrong and we know it, But we are so desensitized to it , we find it hard to react..... I have learned to avoid it , or turn away...it's hard to do sometimes ...Lucky for me ...To me, My wife is the Most Beautiful thing on this earth...and i am very catholic about my role as her husband....

Also I can not Stand reality TV....any of it....except Pawn Stars ....Go Chumley !!!
