I'm have a difficult time finding a series appropriate for my age and preferences. Somthing with no vampires, no bodice rippers, no mystery/horror, and nothing TOO young adult ( I understand that ya fiction can sometimes have underlying adult themes, I.e, Harry Potter, Chronicles of narnia). Can you suggest something well written with good character development? If it helps, some of my favorites are the Outlander series, Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell, LOTR, Pillars of the Earth, and Harry Potter. ThanksRecommend a book series for adults?
If you like LOTR, try:
* Memory, Sorrow, and Thorn series by Tad Williams
* Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind
* Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan
* Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher
* Shannara series by Terry Brooks
* Riftwar saga by Raymond E Feist
* Song of Ice %26amp; Fire series by George RR Martin
* Belgariad / Mallorean series by David Eddings
* Elenium / Tamuli series by David Eddings
If you like Outlander, you might like:
* The Time-Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger
* Practical Magic by Alice Hoffman
* The Probably Future by Alice Hoffman
* The Witch of Blackbird Pond by Alice Hoffman
* A Garden Spell by Sarah Addison Allen
* The Girl Who Chased the Moon by Sarah Addison Allen
* Love in the Time of Cholera by Gabriel Garcia Marquez
Hope this helps :)
Joel Rosenberg has a good series for adults. Another good series is the Left Behind Series by Tim LaHaye %26amp; Jerry Jenkins. Kathy Herman, Karen Kingsbury, and Wanda Brunstetter all are great authors that have great series.
Please help me with my question:

Blades and Dangerous Days, both by J. William Turner. Very realistic fiction about Australian teens in several tense, dramatic, life and death situations set in many parts of Australia, plus California and England, and dealing with adult and social themes. More info in Yahoo web search
Kings,
Try The Women's Murder Club by James Patterson. It's a series of books surrounding three women who investigate murders. One is a reporter, one is a mortician, and the other a police officer. You have to read them in order though.
Here they are. Start from the bottom of the list 1st To Die and on up. I don't know why they listed them this way.

Hey there!!! Do you remember me? As I recall, you're from Atlanta and work in a bookstore .... and you're about 22.
Well enough reminiscing - The whole "Left Behind" series was actually pretty good but depending on your beliefs, that may not be your cup of tea.
the millennium trilogy by steig larson is great.
