Here are some I really liked.

---------------------Angels (not religious though)------------------------

hush, hush by Becca Fitzpatrick-fallen angels and romance

Coffeehouse Angel by Suzanne Sellfors

Far From You by Lisa Shroeder

Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler-about a boy who dies because someone kills him but he's stuck on Earth because the killer is now after his girlfriend. But the thing is, if he stops the killer and saves her, that means he can't stay on earth anymore and he'll lose her forever.

Fallen series by Lauren Kate-fallen angels, action, TONS of romance, made my heart hurt lol

--------------------Magic, Mythical, Vampires, Non-reality-----------

The Pretty Little Liars series by Sara Shepard

The Chronicles of Narnia Series by C.S. Lewis

The Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan

Darkest Powers Trilogy by Kelley Armstrong-romance, magic, and very dark

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer- BLECH it's okay but it's be better if Bella wasn't the steroetyped damsel in distress

The Vampire Diaries by L.J. Smith-romantic, dark and deadly love triangle, and action

Revealers by Amanda Marrone

Old Magic by Marianne Curley

Wake by Lisa McMann

Fade by Lisa McMann

The Hallow by Jessica Verday

Unleashed by Kristopher Reisz

Raven by Allison Van Diepen

ALL of the NIGHT WORLD BOOKS by L.J. Smith-awesome romance, not stupid girls, and action

Bran Hambric series by Kaleb Nation-like Harry Potter but not as long and boring

Skinned Trilogy by Robin Wasserman

The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare-romance, dark, mythical and action

Harry Potter series by J.K. Rowling-action, magic, romance; the books are really thick and i find them boring but you might like them

The Wicked trilogy by Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie-magic, love, and something about destiny

Swoon by Nina Malkin-about a girl who has these powers and she falls in love with this guy, but he's dead. you'll have to find out the reason... :P

Anything by L.J. Smith is really good.

-TheVampire Diaries series

-The Night World series

-The Secret Circle series

---------------------------Spies------鈥?br>

The Gallagher Girls series by Ally Carter, first book is 'I'd Tell You I Love You But Then I'd Have To Kill You'-romance, action, SPIES, and girl power :P

-----more about reality with some ghosts, no magic, vamps, etc.-------

The Lovely Bones-about a girl who gets raped and is killed. the guy gets away but she is trying to help her family, who is hungover on catching the bad guy, by giving them clues and leading them along the way (as a ghost)

THE HUNGER GAMES series by Suzanne Collins-action!! romance!! pure awesomeness!! lol luv it.

The 39 Clues by various authors, each book in the series is written by a different author-funny, actiony, mystery

Sense and Sensibility or Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen-kind of old fashion but romantic and takes place in the 1800's

Unwind by Neil Shusterman-some romance, survival

The Uglies, The Pretties, The Specials, The Extras- by Scott Westerfeld

Missing by Catherine MacPhail-about a girl whose brother brother goes missing and she tries to find out the reason

Jade Green by Phyllis Reynolds Naylor-a girl who is sent to live with her uncle because her mother dies and in her uncles house is a dark secret involving murder and the color green. lol. it has romance too.

I Heart You, You Haunt Me by Lisa Shroeder

Once Upon A Marigold by Jean Ferris-romantic, cute, and funny; about a lost prince falling in love with a quiet and ordinary, not as pretty as her sisters, princess and a dark plot to rid the kingdom of the king

Books by Lois Lowry-Number the Stars, The Messenger, The Giver, Gathering Blue, A Summer to Die, Gossamer

Books by Lois Duncan-I Know What You Did Last Summer, Down A Dark Hall, The Third Eye, Ransom, Who Killed My Daughter

----------------------------Fighting Animals---------------------------------

The Warriors series by Erin Hunter-action, lol romance about cats but it's still good and it's action too.

The Seekers series by Erin Hunter-action, about bears, like the Warriors series
Well my absolute favorite is and will always be

-Kissed by an Angel by Elizabeth Chandler

She's my favorite author and only wrote 2 novels which makes them all the more precious

-Dark Secrets by Elizabeth Chandler

this is two books in one my favorite of them is Don't Tell about a girl who goes to the place where her mother drowned 7 years ago and finds out it wasn't an accident and she might be next

i also like

Wake by McMann

Poseur by Rachel Maude

Uglies by Scott Westerfeld

And every Sara Dessen book there isAnyone read any good books lately?
I like to read history books and see where humans have failed. This gives me a feeling like I won't make the same mistakes they made. But it's harder than it looks and you start to realize that people are mostly the same except for a few revolutionary individuals.
Mortal Instruments - Cassandra ClareAnyone read any good books lately?
I recently read The Napoleon of Notting Hill by GK Chesterton and was completely blown away. It's funny in some ways but profound in others and really different, fiction but true in some ways I think. You can find it free on Project Gutenberg and read it online or download and put into the free Kindle for Mac/PC applications and read it there. I take public transport so I read it in Stanza (also for free) in my iPod Touch.
have you tried the Bartimaeus trilogy by Jonathan Stroud??

It's a really very interesting read.
ya the pot head you know the book about you
YES, here are some good books to read

"Zorba the Greek" by Mikis Theodorakis

"Catch-22" by Joseph Heller

"The Count of Monte Cristo" by Alexandre Dumas - awesome adventure tale

"Brave New World" by Aldous Huxley

"Animal Farm" %26amp; "1984" by George Orwell - Big Brother is watching YOU, so read these books!

"Invisible Man" by Ralph Ellison (he's invisible figuratively, not literally)

"The Hobbit" %26amp; "Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien

"Alice in Wonderland" %26amp; "Through the Looking-Glass" by Lewis Carrol

"Crime %26amp; Punishment" by Dostoevsky

"Moby Dick" by Herman Melville

"Ulysses" by James Joyce

"The Great Gatsby" by F Scott Fitzgerald

"The Odyssey" %26amp; "The Iliad" by Homer

"Dante's Inferno" by Dante

"Don Quixote" by Cervantes

"War of the Worlds" "The Time Machine" "First Men on the Moon" by H G Wells

"Voyage of the Beagle" by Charles Darwin

"The Prince" by Machiavelli

Short stories by Edgar Allan Poe, O Henry, Mark Twain, Robert Louis Stevenson, Jack London

You probably won't like everything listed here, just skip the books you can't get into. There's plenty more classics out there waiting for you!

See my sources for lots more suggestions. Ignore anything written by L Ron Hubbard, a hack sci-fi writer who founded the quack religion scientology and by Ayn Rand, a repulsive plutocratic pig

Always read something that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it

P J O'ROURKE
Like alga, I absolutely love Kissed by an Angel. However, it is rather sad and can tend to be a little bit frightening. The ending is happy or sad - it depends on the way you look at it.

I also love the Hunger Games, although it is a series. Only two books are currently out. (First book is Hunger Games)

The Underneath is a very cute story that you could look into..

A not-so-happy ending story is My Sister's Keeper - it's an excellent, excellent book.

Other books I've enjoyed are:

Frostfire (I believe that's the name of it..)

The Warriors Series (first book: Into the Wild)

Maximum Ride series

Tuck Everlasting

Number the Stars (Holecaust Book - very very good!!!)
