I bet somebody answers saying "the bible is not a science / history textbook...it it a spiritual guide". When there are so many inaccuracies, how can anyone be sure any of it is true?

Yes, the books of the Bible were written across many centuries by many different men in many different circumstances, and it would only be surprising if they DID agree. Not to mention the fact that human knowledge has actually advanced in the ensuing centuries since.

17. The correct age of Jehoiachin was 18, not 8. Obviously, Jehoiachin was 18 when he began his rule since it says he did evil in the site of the Lord which suggests maturity and responsibility. The discrepancy in ages is probably due to a copyist error. We can see that the difference in ages is 10 years. The system of number notation used by the Jews at the time of Ezra consisted of horizontal hooks that represented values of ten. If one or both of the hooks in the number 18 were smudged or flaked off of a papyri, then the dates would be off by values of 10 years.

These are clever questions. I want to start by saying that the earth was not created in six days as reported by the bible but billions of years. The creation of the entire universe is a slow and accurate one. God is in charge. There is the big bang theory. The earth came to be b4 life came into it. Life started in water, by division of certain simple molecules into complex ones.

The universe is some billions of years old and will come to an end in precisely 400 years from 2000. Many people thought it was going to end that year, 2000. The earth is an ash can. In my soul, i am free. Only in soul body can man survive this and not in the physical body. This shows that God's love for man is enormous. You may not understand this but that's how it is.

Using blood to disinfect a house doesn't make sense. But niether the earth nor the heavens have a pillar or pillars. The power of gravity or holy spirit suspends the physical universe but the heavenly worlds just IS. God IS.
