Creationists, why do you believe the earth is round?

The Bible doesn't tell us the earth is round.

if anything, the Bible says the earth is flat.

Isaiah 41:9

I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest CORNERS I called you. I said, 'You are my servant'; I have chosen you and have not rejected you.

Isaiah 11:12

And he shall set up an ensign for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the FOUR CORNERS of the earth.

Revelation 7:1

After this I saw four angels standing at the FOUR CORNERS of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth to prevent any wind from blowing on the land or on the sea or on any tree.

Revelation 20:8

And will go out to deceive the nations in the FOUR CORNERS of the earth鈥擥og and Magog鈥攖o gather them for battle. In number they are like the sand on the seashore.

1 Samuel 2:8

He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among princes, and to make them inherit the throne of glory: for the PILLARS OF THE EARTH are the Lord's, and he hath set the world upon them.Creationists, why do you believe the earth is round?
I believe in everything and nothing.
Sad when you give someone exactly what they ask for, yet still deny it, even as it sits in front of them.

Creationists, why do you believe the earth is round?
It's not. It's flat. Because I said so.

Now go get a switch, for quoting the Bible out of context!
Same reason I believe in Creation - I can see it. I see creation and I know there must be a Creator. I can see that the earth is round from satellite photos.Creationists, why do you believe the earth is round?
You're proficient at taking verses out of context.
A fifth grader could tell you they are metaphors
Ends of the earth means never ending.

Edit: Did He say that humans have two ears, two eyes, a mouth, and a nose in the Bible? I believe we do.
Lol, circles don't have corners. The Bible is wrong again.
Those are all just expressions...
i'm an athiest and even i know that "four corners" and "ends of the earth" is just a phrase/metaphor...

i don't support christianity, it's just i don't want us athiests looking bad... and you make us look bad...
I love all the "they are out of context" or "metaphors" comments

Do you hear that when they quote the bible to fit their agenda?

EDIT:

"It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth"

Circle is two-dimensional

A SPHERE [which is what the earth is] is three-dimensional

Once again, theists FAIL
I realize the Bible does not say the earth is round. It is not a book to teach science. It only teaches the spiritual. What was written about the earth was spiritual, not physical.
In the context of the times it was. the known world was very small and there were only a few who had seen it.

No crime there.

People do not know what they do not know. The bible never mentioned Google or emails. Does that mean computers and the internet do not exist?
Guessed you missed the passage where it clearly states the earth is round.

Isaiah 40:22

It is he that sitteth upon the circle of the earth,

and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers;

that stretcheth out the heavens as a curtain,

and spreadeth them out as a tent to dwell in:

Clearly states, circle of the earth. And the four corners, take a look at a compass. The four corners are N, S, E, W. The four cardinal points of all navigation since man began to write.
The Noble Quran

[079:030] He made the earth egg-shaped. (A.K.A Geoid)

[079:031] From it, He produced its own water and pasture.

[079:032] He established the mountains.

[079:033] All this to provide life support for you and your animals.
Those are all metaphors. "It is he who sits above the circle of the earth," Isaiah 40:20
The moom, the sun and many balls are round, it is proper to refer to any thing round as having four corners, that does not make it flat, it just sections it. Isa.40:22; Isaiah knows it can be refered to as having a circle around its roundness.
Most understand that the four corners of the earth have to do with directions, not physical corners of the earth. Even if the earth was flat, who says it would have to be rectangular, rather than a circle( which has no corners)?

Most also understand that the ends of the earth just means locations far from where you are.

My question becomes why don't you know this, or is it just voluntary ignorance and a travesty of logic, just to get your point across.

... and if anything, pillars of the earth, implies the earth has an orderly position, as the theologician Issac Newton pointed out in his theory of gravitation.
Well it is easier to believe than the universe was created spontaneously out of nothing aka the big-bang theory.
I do believe the earth is round. Do any of these verses say the earth is round? No. Do any of them specifically say it is flat? No. And besides I can see satellite images, I have faith, just like I have faith in God, and there are Christian scientists out there.

And all those verses about the ends of the earth, well there are ends to the earth. Different ridges, mountains. And the earth is not perfectly round.

God bless.
4 corners of a compass. N S E W are the four corners

Isaiah 40:22 He sit enthroned above the circle-arch-or globe of the earth....or far above this round earth.(depending upon which bible you may have)

Again, misinterpreted the bible.

God created the world in 6 literal days. I find that very easy to believe, which means nothing to you. You cannot understand how I even believe in God.
First of all nowhere in any of the verses you quoted doe it say that the earth is flat. Secondly the Bible calls the earth a circle. The last time I looked a circle is round. So It does say the earth is round. Third, have you ever looked at a map of the world? How many corners does it have? Forth, what does the shape of the earth have to do with how it was created or how long it took to do it?
Hebrew chuwg

Isaiah 40:22
I think this is a perspective thing. From man's point of view the earth does have corners and ends. From God's point of view, it's round.

I don't think you accurately refuted Quite Bu because the fact is that the Bible still says that the earth is round. Whether you say it's a circle or a sphere, both of those are round. I don't have a problem with "circle of the ocean" because when viewed from far away, the earth is mostly water and it does follow a round shape.

How about this verse:

Job 26:7 He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, [and] hangeth the earth upon nothing.

This is an incredible insight - how could the writer have known that the earth was hung "upon nothing"? Does any other holy book say that the earth is supspended in space?
