Punching in the stomach leaves no bruises?

I remember reading in either: World Without End OR Pillars of the Earth (or some other Ken Folett book) It said that one of the characters punched the other in the stomach, because he knew it wouldn't leave a bruise..



Is this true? does punching someone in the stomach leave no bruise?

False, no matter where you get "punched" you will get a bruise. Whether or not it is visible from the outside depends on the depth of the blood vessels that are damaged do to the injury.
