Do you like fairy tale about Jesus (bible) ? do u like its theories where it says earth can never move?

The flat Earth is established and can never move?! The Sun hurries back to where

it rises?!

- The Earth has pillars?!

- The Earth has Edges?! The wicked might get shaken off of it and fall off in

space?!

Yeah since I don't have the Bible memorized, I guess I'll just take your word for it.

Edit: Bassdoc, that's awesome how you call the text a metaphor whenever it's convenient, only to insist on literal interpretation for the cattle prod moments (metaphorically speaking).
Oh yeah, the bible is filled with such nonsense.

It's mythology after all, not reality.Do you like fairy tale about Jesus (bible) ? do u like its theories where it says earth can never move?
The earth is shaped like a tabernacle.
Yes i like just the FAIRY TALE cos it isn't realDo you like fairy tale about Jesus (bible) ? do u like its theories where it says earth can never move?
These are artistic metaphors, and can be found in modern literature just as well as in ancient times.

If Hemmingway or somebody says "the sun scurried along the treetops" people don't get out Rand McNally's atlas to prove him wrong.

NEXT!!!!
No actually I hate it. It's the most uncreative fiction written in the history of mankind. It's junk!

I give it half a star out of five.

And that's being generous.
It is obviously proof that all of todays science is wrong.

If only someone had told me this BEFORE I started my MSci 3 yrs ago.

Oh the wasted years.

If only I had become a monk instead.

In answer to your question: of COURSE they dont like it. That is why they now 'interpret' the Bible in whatever way suits them rather than treating it like the word of God like they claim to.
Old hat here.

These verses don't suggest a flat earth and have be corrected many, many (yawn) times, here.

Come up with something more original.
Hey what about the firmament where the Sun, the moon, and the stars are "hanging" from...? Ant the waters that were above the firmament.

Firmament = Solid foundation
Oooohh. I love fairy tales. Maybe you should compile fairy tales and put those ones in the first 10 pages.
The passages that you are quoting are written in what is known as "poetic language". It's like where it says that God shelters people beneath the shadow of His "wings". Those passages are not meant to teach things about the physical realities of the earth or to say that God has wings like a bird.

If you want to review a serious inquiry into the story of Jesus then why don't you check out this link from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Law School's web site?

Testimony of the Evangelists by Simon Greenleaf (1783-1853)

Greenleaf, one of the principle founders of the Harvard Law School, originally set out to disprove the biblical testimony concerning the resurrection of Jesus Christ. He was certain that a careful examination of the internal witness of the Gospels would dispel all the myths at the heart of Christianity....

....The docility which true philosophy requires of her disciples is not a spirit of servility, or the surrender of the reason and judgment to whatsoever the teacher may inculcate; but it is a mind free from all pride of opinion, not hostile to the truth sought for, willing to pursue the inquiry, and impartiality to weigh the arguments and evidence, and to acquiesce in the judgment of right reason

....Christianity does not profess to convince the perverse and headstrong, to bring irresistible evidence to the daring and profane, to vanquish the proud scorner, and afford evidences from which the careless and perverse cannot possibly escape. This might go to destroy man's responsibility. All that Christianity professes, is to propose such evidences as may satisfy the meek, the tractable, the candid, the serious inquirer...
You're just thinking that Bible believers are for the flat pancake theory-_-#

"...upon the circle of the earth..." (Is 40:22) %26lt;=connotes something round. What would ancient people think about "round earth"? They'd find it difficult to understand even if God explained it to them.

Of course, the earth has edges. That's why America's side is on the Pacific and the Atlantic!!!

The wicked might get shaken off of it and fall off in

space?! %26lt;%26lt;==The Bible never said shaking off wicked into space-_-# they're just SHAKEN

READ THE WHOLE CHAPTERS AND PERHAPS YOU'LL UNDERSTAND
I think the bible has some great stories. I may not believe all of them but they are interesting.
You're wrong. Here's just a few points so please don't comment on metaphorical wording or on something you have no deep knowledge about:

The earth is round - The Bible indicates that the earth is round. One verse we can look at is Isaiah 40:22, where it mentions the “circle of the earth.”

Another verse to consider is Job 26:10, where it teaches that God has “inscribed” a circle on the surface of the waters at the boundary of light and darkness.

The earth floats in space - A very interesting verse to consider is Job 26:7, which states that God “hangs the earth on nothing.” Although this verse is written in a poetic way, it suggests that the earth floats in space; and indeed the earth does float in space.

The earth literally hangs upon nothing, just as the Bible suggests.

* The expansion of the universe-

The Bible indicates in several places that the universe has been “stretched out” or expanded. For example, Isaiah 40:22 teaches that God stretches out the heavens like a curtain and spreads them out like a tent to dwell in. This would suggest that the universe has actually increased in size since its creation.
