I was actually thinking over the last few days to ask which book anyone would like to see made into a TV series when I discovered my favorite novel since I first read it in 1995 has just been released. So, is it any good and does it stick to the book or veer off? Is it as brutal as the novel is in parts too, which is relevant to the period?
Quite curious to see who they've cast in various roles (Ian McShane looks well cast as the Bishop) and my next stop is google who plays Aleina ;).

Riveting and very intense; with a great feel for the era. Not a show you can watch while doing something else, and worthy of full attention.
